Five ‘fake doctors’ arrested in Gurgaon

Five men were arrested in Gurgaon on charges of running clinics without permission,police said on Saturday.

According to police,Promod,Amit,Shankar (all from Bihar),Mohammad Siddique (from Muzaffarnagar,UP) and Sandeep (from Jind,Haryana),were caught posing as doctors and running three clinics without any degrees. They were pursuing undergraduate degrees,police said.

After one Harbans Yadav filed a complaint,police booked the five men under IPC Sections 336 (endangering human life) and 420 (cheating). “They were also charged under Section 18C and 18A of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act,” a senior officer said.

Police said the accused were presented before Judicial Magistrate Manpreet Singh and sent to 14-day judicial custody.
