Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced on Saturday that the Delhi government will observe November 25 as a public holiday to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur.
Announcing this on X, Gupta said, “Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s life stands as a timeless and powerful symbol of resistance against tyranny, religious intolerance and injustice. He was not only a revered Guru of the Sikh faith but also a guardian of humanity.”
The government will, meanwhile, hold a grand three-day commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary at the Red Fort from November 23 to 25.
