Will supply piped water to all households by 2017: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal

In an interaction with meter readers, inspectors and senior officials of Delhi Jal Board (DJB) the Chief Minister lauded the Board officials for "innovative solution" to meet the water needs of Delhi residents.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Saturday expressed confidence that all households in the capital were likely to receive piped water supply by 2017.

“It is the responsibility of the Delhi government to provide piped water supply to all the households of the city by 2017,” said Kejriwal at an event of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB), where he was interacting with water metre readers, inspectors and senior DJB officials.

Underlining his government’s policy of zero tolerance for corruption, the chief minister said no malpractices related to water bills and water metre reading will be tolerated. He added that the government will initiate strong measures to tackle this issue.
