Air pollution in Delhi is again rising after the withdrawal of the monsoon and just before the onset of winter. The Delhi AQI in the morning has now breached the ‘poor’ category. The Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi pegged the Delhi AQI in the ‘poor’ category with the reading at 200 at 5:30 am on Tuesday.
The temperature was recorded at 19.8°C at the time the AQI reading was taken.
The AQI reading is categorised as Good (0-50), Satisfactory (51-100), Moderately Polluted (101-200), Poor (201-300), Very Poor (301-400), and Severe (401-500). Thus, higher the AQI reading, the unhealthier it gets to breathe.
