A part of an Ambedkar statue inside a person’s house was defaced by unknown people in Jewar’s Neemka village, Gautam Buddha Nagar district, late on Tuesday, the police said.
According to a senior police officer, the complainant, Abhishek, told the officers that the miscreants damaged the right arm of the statue of B R Ambedkar which was installed within his house premises in the village.

The police have registered a case pertaining to causing damage to property (section 425) under the Indian Penal Code (IPC). “The police are trying to trace the identity of the accused,” the officer said.
