3-year-old boy killed in Faridabad, stepfather arrested

A police spokesperson said the mother, in her complaint, has said that she married Prashant a year ago. It was her second marriage. She had a three-year-old son from her first marriage.

On October 19, Prashant allegedly left home with the boy and did not return. Two days later, the mother approached the police and an FIR was registered at the Ballabgarh City police station. During questioning, police said Prashant admitted to the crime, revealing that he had repeatedly asked his wife to send the boy to her parents’ home, but she refused.

“On October 19, while his wife was away, Prashant beat the child and punched him in the stomach, causing the boy to vomit and die,” said SHO Shamsher Singh. He then took the boy on his motorcycle and dumped the body, the spokesperson added.
