2 members of gang behind Preet Vihar dacoity arrested

Police said when they started the investigations,they focused on activities of Bangladeshi gangs. “We received information about one Badshah alias Kabir who had recently come out of jail and was forming a new gang. Our surveillance,revealed that one Tasleem had come to the Capital to conduct a recce. We managed to arrest him but the gangleader Badshah was still absconding,” said a police official. Badshah confessed to police that while committing the dacoity at Preet Vihar,the former director’s son had resisted because of which he had smothered him leading to his death. The police have found Badshah’s involvement in as many as 18 criminal cases.

3 labourers killed in

roof collapse at Noida construction site

Noida: Three persons were killed and three injured at a construction site in Noida after a part of the roof they were working on collapsed. Senior police officers said the six labourers were working on the roof of a 12-floor building,when a section of it collapsed at 11 am. Officers said the victims have been identified as Sanoj Mukhiya (20),Sakulu Mukhiya (20) and Ravi Kumar (26). “The three,who died,were buried under the rubble and were killed on the spot. One of the three others,who were injured,is in critical condition,” an officer said. A police officer said a case under Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) had been registered. “Prima facie,it seems the rains weakened the structure,which is why it collapsed. However,the case has been filed on the basis of a complaint which alleged that safety rules were not followed. ” an officer said. ENS
