A 15-year-old girl was allegedly abducted from a market, forced to consume intoxicants and gangraped by four youths at Faridabad. A Special Investigation Team led by ACP (Old Faridabad) has been set up to probe the matter, a police spokesperson said on Wednesday.
The incident took place between 7 pm on October 26 and 4 am on October 27. According to the FIR lodged on Monday, based on a complaint filed by the girl’s elder sister, the school student was held hostage by the accused.
As per the complaint, the girl had gone to the market to eat momos around 7 pm on October 26. When she did not return, the family looked for her but could not find her. Around 4.30 am on October 27, the girl returned home on her own.
“She told her family that four youths in a car kidnapped her, took her to a deserted place, made her consume intoxicants and raped her. They threatened to kill her if she disclosed this to anyone. She somehow managed to escape and reached home,” said an officer.
Following this, the family took her to the police station and she underwent a medical examination at a hospital. Sources in the police said the girl is not in a condition to record her statement yet.
An officer said that CCTV camera footage from the market is being examined. “Initial investigation has shown that the girl was walking… and then she boarded a car. The vehicle has been identified and the accused would be arrested soon,” the officer added.
