The 16-year-old daughter of popular music composer and actor Vijay Antony allegedly died by suicide early Tuesday.

According to the police, the Class 12 student of a popular private school in the city was found dead in her room around 3 am. Vijay Antony soon rushed her to the nearby private hospital where she was declared dead on arrival, they added.

The Teynampet police reached the spot and sent her body to the Omandurar government hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered and the police are conducting a further inquiry into the incident.
