Two mobile phones were snatched in different incidents in the city late on Monday night.
The mobile phone of a woman police constable,posted with the traffic staff department of Chandigarh Police,was snatched late on Monday night. Kalawati,a resident of Shanti Nagar in Mani Majra,was off duty and was going to the market near her house about 9 pm. She had attached earphones to her mobile phone and was listening to music when a person on Hero Honda Splendor snatched the mobile phone and fled. A case of theft has been registered at the Mani Majra Police Station.
In the other incident,the mobile phone of Shankar,a resident of Sector 56,Chandigarh,was snatched late on Monday night. The victim was talking on the phone while walking towards home near the dividing road between Sectors 55 and 56 when a person on a speeding motorcycle snatched his phone and fled. A case of theft has been registered at Sector 39 Police Station.
