Two die as car collides with bus

Two residents of Raipurrani died after their Maruti Zen car collided head on with a staff bus of the Swami Devi Dyal College,Barwala,near Mauli village on Saturday evening.

Two residents of Raipurrani died after their Maruti Zen car collided head on with a staff bus of the Swami Devi Dyal College,Barwala,near Mauli village on Saturday evening. The deceased were identified as Jasbir Singh (30),a leader of the Youth Congress and Vikram (32). The two were returning home from Ambala when the accident occurred. Both died on the spot, said a police officer. The bus driver,identified as Sohan Singh,fled from the scene,leaving behind the bus which has been impounded. Raipurrani Station House Officer Satpal Singh said a case has been registered against Sohan Singh. The post-mortem of the bodies would be conducted on Sunday.
