Teachers Union meets DPI(S)

A mass delegation of the Government Teachers Union (GTU) led by the Union President Vinod Sharma met DPI(S) Upkar Singh on Monday,to demand a rollback of the showcause notices issued to the lecturers. The members of the GTU informed the DPI that the teaching work in all schools was normal and they rejected the call for chalk-down strike given by the suspended teachers. DPI said that after reasonable and justified clarification by the lecturers is submitted,showcause notices issued to them will be withdrawn otherwise strong departmental action is under consideration.
