Sucha Singh murder: Statements of three new witnesses recorded

On the run after murdering the husband and mother-in-law of his paramour two days after her marriage.

The statements of three new witnesses were recorded by the court of District and Sessions Judge S K Aggarwal in the murder case of inspector Sucha Singh on Tuesday. The court recorded statements of Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) expert Sunita,recovery witness Puran Singh and S-I Sushil Kumar.

Sunita had examined the clothes of the accused and the deceased,and also the clothes of Jatinder Singh,driver of the slain cop and the knife which was allegedly used to murder Sucha Singh.

The clothes of the accused and the murder weapon were recovered from a place near Film City,Sarangpur in the presence of Puran Singh,while sub-inspector Sushil Kumar had produced the certificates and the pamphlets of both the accused and sent them to the investigating officer.

With the conclusion of the cross examination of Jatinder Singh and constable Anil Kumar,now,statements of 18 witnesses have been recorded in the case.

On the run after murdering the husband and mother-in-law of his paramour two days after her marriage,dismissed Chandigarh Police constable Basant Kumar had allegedly murdered Inspector Sucha Singh and injured a Chandigarh Police constable on June 8.
