RLA rakes in Rs 5.16 lakh in auction

The Registration and Licensing Authority received a poor response to the auction of the new series of car registration numbers held on Saturday only nine numbers of the series CH-04-AA were auctioned.

The Registration and Licensing Authority received a poor response to the auction of the new series of car registration numbers held on Saturday only nine numbers of the series CH-04-AA were auctioned.

The auction fetched Rs 5.16 lakh for the RLA. The highest amount was bid for number 0001,Rs 2.60 lakh. This was followed by the number 0011 that fetched Rs 1.16 lakh. The number 1111 was auctioned for Rs 55,000. The remaining numbers were auctioned for low amounts.

While these numbers were for non-transport vehicles,the auction of numbers of transport vehicles had no takers. The numbers of the series CH-01-TA were to be auctioned.
