Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut launched a sharp attack on Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi during her visit to Kullu in Himachal Pradesh Friday. Reacting to one of his recent statements, the Mandi MP said the Congress leader makes remarks without giving them any thought.

Commenting on Gandhi’s social media posts referring to Gen Z, Ranaut said, “Rahul Gandhi has always made statements that have brought embarrassment to the country. Referring to Gen Z in this manner shows his ignorance. He should know that in Nepal, the Gen Z movement uprooted a dynastic government. He has no clue about what is happening in the world.”

On Thursday, Gandhi had reiterated allegations of mass deletions from the voters’ list, claiming to have proof of the same. He also took to X and stated, “The nation’s youth, the nation’s students, the nation’s Gen Z, will defend the Constitution, protect democracy, and stop vote theft. I always stand with them. Jai Hind!”

Ranaut, however, said Gandhi has a history of making controversial comments. “Earlier too, he pleaded on foreign soil to save democracy in India. It seems he wakes up in the morning, rubs his eyes, and posts whatever comes to his mind on social media,” she remarked.

On the recent disaster in Himachal Pradesh, the MP highlighted the financial aid provided by the Centre and said it was now the responsibility of the state government to spend the funds with complete transparency. She also assured that she would seek a relief package from Union ministers to support the state’s tourism sector.

Later in the day, the Kullu district unit of the BJP organised a blood donation camp under the ongoing ‘Seva Pakhwada’ to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. Party leaders, office bearers, and workers participated in the drive.

Ranaut was present as the chief guest at the event and also donated blood for the first time. Speaking on the occasion, she said, “Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, such a noble act of blood donation is being carried out. Today, for the first time in my life, I too donated blood.”

On Thursday, Ranaut was greeted with slogans of “go back”, as she visited a flood-hit area in Manali. The residents were protesting against her delayed visit to the region. The police had to intervene after the local people got into heated arguments with BJP leaders and others accompanying Ranaut.

Speaking to the residents, she said, “Even my house is located here. My restaurant is also here. It did a business of only Rs 50 yesterday. We pay Rs 15 lakh in salaries, and we could only do Rs 50 worth of business. Try to understand my pain too.”
