Punjab school education department has opened a portal to receive the applications for general transfers of teachers in the state from today.
Disclosing this, education minister Harjot Singh Bains said that teachers willing to get transferred can apply online on the e-Punjab portal from March 28 to 31.
Bains said that these transfers will be made as per the teacher transfer policy of 2019 and the revised policy of 2020.
He said that the transfer requests will be accepted online only and the applications received through offline mode will not be entertained.
Similarly, the applications of teachers/computer faculty/non-teaching staff for transfers will only be considered if the details furnished by them found to be correct.
Bains also said that teachers who transferred during the years 2019, 2021 and 2022 but orders were not implemented due to technical reasons will get a chance to cancel the orders .
