PSLV-C56 rocket launch by ISRO: 18 students from Punjab govt schools witness event in Sriharikota

Punjab education minister Harjot Singh Bains said that the aim of the AAP government is to inculcate interest in science among students.

Days after a group of 30 students from Punjab government schools had witnessed the launch of Chandrayaan-3 by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) at Sriharikota, another group of students selected from the government’s Schools of Eminence (SOEs) witnessed the launch of PSLV-C56 rocket on Sunday (July 30).

Punjab education minister Harjot Singh Bains said that students had taken a flight on Saturday from Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, Chandigarh, to witness the launch of PSLV-C56 at Sriharikota.

He said that the expenses incurred by these students were being borne by the Punjab government, adding that the aim of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government is to inculcate interest in science among students.

Bains also said that the students from SOEs will continue such visits to witness ISRO launchings in coming months as well.
