Protest by National Rural Health Mission Workers

After the pharmacists,today it was the turn of employees working under the National Rural Health Mission to stage a dharna at the office of the Civil Surgeon.

After the pharmacists,today it was the turn of employees working under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) to stage a dharna at the office of the Civil Surgeon.

Later,the workers walked in rally form towards the Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) office to submit a memorandum.

The workers were demanding regularisation of posts.

At the moment more than 9,000 workers are working across the state on contract basis.

Rajinder Singh,press secretary of the National Rural Health Mission Workers’ Union,said, “We want our jobs to be regularised.”

On April 11,the workers will be meeting Chief Minister Parkash Sing Badal to apprise him of the issue and their problems.
