Union Home Minister Amit Shah Tuesday alleged that the Congress and the National Conference intend to release all the terrorists after J&K elections, restore Article 370 in the UT and remove ban on outfits banned in connection with terrorism. In poll bound Haryana, Shah asked people to choose between the BJP which is “a group of patriots” and the Congress which is “a gang of the corrupt”.
“Your single vote will decide the future of Haryana. Two groups are clearly visible (in the upcoming elections). On one side is ‘deshbhakton ki toli’ (a group of patriots) like BJP and on the other side is ‘bhrashtacharion ka ek tola’ (a gang of corrupt) who are in Congress. BJP’s work is social welfare and Congress job is family welfare,” said Shah addressing a rally in Faridabad. It was his second rally of the day after an earlier one in Bhiwani’s Loharu.
“We are having elections in J&K. Rahul Baba went there. He made a settlement with Omar Abdullah. What is their agenda? They will release all terrorists after the elections and restore Article 370. They will remove the ban on organisations which have been banned in connection with terrorism. Rahul Baba, hear us loud and clear. Narendra Modi is sitting on top (at the Centre). You have not formed the government (in J&K). Jab tak Bharatiya Janata Party hai, Kashmir ke upar aankh uthakar koi dekh nahi sakta. Hum toh woh party hain jo maanti hai ke Pakistan-waala Kashmir bhi Hindustan ka hi hai (Till the BJP is here, nobody can dare look at Kashmir. Ours is the party which considers Pakistan occupied Kashmir also belongs to India),” Shah said in Loharu.
Haryana finance minister J P Dalal is seeking re-election from Loharu.
Beginning his address with Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Jai Shri Ram, Shah asked the crowd to raise the two slogans so that “the noise should reach Pakistan”. In Faridabad, Shah claimed that slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” have been raised in some rallies of the Congress in Haryana. “A few days ago, I was watching TV — from Hathin to Thanesar and from Thanesar to Palwal, in Congress rallies, ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans have been raised…Ye Congress party tushtikaran ki rajneeti ke liye aaj Haryana ko bhi tushtikaran say lipt karna chahti hai (For the appeasement politics, the Congress is trying to cover Haryana also with appeasement),” said Shah.
Shah said that thousands of jawans from Haryana have laid down their lives protecting Kashmir. “And these people want to bring terrorism back in Kashmir,” Shah said. He slammed Rahul Gandhi for criticising the Agnipath scheme.
