A day after the body of a 31-year-old man identified as Monu was recovered from a vacant plot on Dhandra Road in Punjab’s Ludhiana, the police booked seven accused and arrested one of them for allegedly giving drugs to him.

The FIR was registered on the statement of Jaspal Kaur, the mother of the victim, a resident of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar in Dhandra. Monu’s mother said that he had left the house with Bunty Wednesday evening saying that he will return in a few minutes. When he did not return till late, the family started looking for him.
