Speaking against linking terrorism with religion,All India Anti-Terrorist Front (AITF) chairman Maninderjit Singh Bitta said religion could not be held responsible for misdeeds of a handful of people. Referring to recent statements of political leaders on ‘Hindu terrorism’,Bitta said: “Political leaders should not use word the Hindu aatankwad as we cannot identify terrorist by his religion. A terrorist is a terrorist and should be punished. An entire community or religion cannot be blamed for wrong deeds of a few.” Bitta was in Shimla to attend a function organised by the state AITF unit to honour war widows and decorated soldiers.
