RIDING high on Kajal’s all-round show (30 no,2 for 3),Government Model Senior Secondary School Sector 56 (Club),recorded a facile 60-run win over Ryan International School Sector 49,in the first match of the U-19 women cricket tournament for Pandit Kedarnath Trophy on Tuesday,to surge ahead in the championship. Electing to bat first,GMSSS-56 posted a total of 138 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs,with Kajal scoring an unbeaten knock of 30 runs to propel their team. In reply,Ryan International School could score 78 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Anjali bowled superbly to scalp four wickets while Kajal grabbed two wickets to help GMSSS-56 record victory. The tournament is being organised by Chandigarh Women’s Cricket Association.
