The alliance of the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) and the Azad Samaj Party (ASP) has promised to give government jobs to one lakh women and a monthly unemployment allowance of Rs 11,000 if voted to power in the Haryana Assembly polls scheduled for October 5.
JJP leader and former deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala and ASP chief Chandrashekar Azad, MP for Uttar Pradesh’s Nagina constituency, released the alliance’s manifesto on Sunday. The alliance has also promised a compensation of Rs 25,000 per acre for crop loss due to natural calamities.
According to the leaders, the alliance’s government will provide minimum support prices for all crops. The alliance has also promised to remove the condition of landholding for buying tractors. Other commitments include awarding an additional 5 marks to rural students in higher education and government job applications.
“As many as Rs 20,000 will be given to eligible youths for coaching for competitive exams while this amount will be Rs 1 lakh for those who appear for the UPSC exam,” the leaders announced.
The JJP is contesting 69 of the 90 seats while leaving 16 seats for Azad’s ASP. On three seats, the alliance has offered support to independent candidates.
