The Haryana Police Sunday arrested four students of Sonepat’s OP Jindal Global University for allegedly bringing charas from Kullu town in Himachal Pradesh to “supply” at the university. The police seized nearly 1 kg of charas, valued at nearly Rs 1.33 lakh in the international market, from them.

The accused are students of the law department. The police identified them as Kanishak and Ankit, both residents of Gurgaon, Aadit, a resident of Panchkula and Sarish of Delhi. They were produced before a court Sunday and remanded in police custody for three days. The students were nabbed after a police team intercepted and checked their Tata Innova on a national highway on a tip-off.

“The accused have admitted that they had meant to supply the charas at OP Jindal Global University,” said the police in a statement.
