' This government has lost confidence among people of Haryana' says Congress MLA Geeta Bhukkal in the Vidhan Sabha
"What is the need for this confidence motion? Why has this stage come? BJP-JJP used to say that they had made a coordination committee that was headed by Anil Vij to finalise a common minimum programme for both the parties.. not even a single meeting of this committee took place and finally the alliance broke… Anil Vij rather even walked out of your own legislature party’s meeting yesterday…

"A while ago, Sonia Gandhi jis name was taken… she is the one who had sacrificed the prime minister’s chair.. she is a Tyagmurti and needs to be respected for that. Here is a minister Ranjit Singh, who didn’t even take his own name while taking oath yesterday.. it needs to be inquired into," she said.

Oppn should contest Lok Sabha and then Vidhan Sabha polls to see where they stand, says Haryana cabinet minister Ranjit Singh
“Our PM had praised Manohar Lal jis governance model.. what’s wrong in that… in April-May, people will give their mandate… their (opposition’s) people aren’t ready to contest. Sonia Gandhi ji went to Rajya Sabha, Rahul Gandhi ji is going to Wayanad… they are the ones who ain’t ready to face people’s mandate…
It is good that Nayab Saini ji has made a beginning from MLA, then MP and today he is here as CM… every leader begins like this and then keeps achieving higher,” said Ranjit Singh, cabinet minister in the Haryana Assembly today.

You may win the confidence motion today, but you won’t be able to win it among people of Haryana, says Congress MLA during trust vote
“This change was only brought in to combat the anti-incumbency.. the house should be informed what was the reason that on the 11th PM was showering praises on Manohar Lal Khattar and within the same night, he was moved out and the next morning a new cm was decided,” said Congress MLA Rao Dan Singh during a discussion on the trust vote moved by new CM Nayab Saini.
“But people understand all these games. These games are not gonna work now. You may win the confidence motion today, but you won’t be able to win it among the people of Haryana,” he said.
Manohar Lal Khattar for the welfare of every section of the society, says BJP minister JP Dalal in Haryana Assembly

Youth migrating out of Haryana due to rising unemployment, alleges Congress MLA as new CM moves confidence motion in Assembly
Youth are migrating out of Haryana, through illegal means too; I challenge if any member can say that migration isn’t happening from their constituency- it’s all due to rising unemployment in the state. "These are the circumstances chief minister ji, you have been made a scapegoat.. they are sacrificing you.. I would request you to move forward carefully with such circumstances and such instability in the state… the government should go among the people; there’s no logic in this confidence motion," he said.
'This govt is no. 1 in corruption': Congress MLA Raghbir Kadian to Haryana BJP govt
“Farmer who is the backbone of this nation, who is responsible for the prosperity of the nation, that farmer is sitting on the roads today. People are struggling to get the old pension scheme implemented, and Asha workers, and anganwadi workers are being lathi-charged… the new chief minister should see the realty,” said Congress MLA Raghbir Kadian in the Haryana Assembly after Haryana CM Nayab Saini moved the confidence motion in the house.
“This government is no. 1 in corruption.. scams after scams are taking place… CMO has been finding corruption, adulteration, and misgovernance everywhere in every office, but no information comes out about who all were caught, how many were prosecuted and what action was taken,” he alleged.

“The reason is that your vote bank is getting shaky due to anti-incumbency factor… it is your misconception.. anti-incumbency isn’t due to any particular individual, it is because of your corrupt regime,” he said.
“The Prime Minister comes on the 11th, recalls motorcycle rides (with Khattar) etc.. the next morning such events (Khattar’s resignation) took place; it leaves a lot of impact on people of the state.. when you people came in 2019, you didn’t have a majority. Khattar is learnt to have proposed Saini’s name as CM during the BJP Legislature Party meeting on Tuesday.
With the Lok Sabha polls near and the Haryana Assembly elections scheduled for the end of the year, the BJP appears to have gone in for the 54-year-old OBC leader, in place of Khattar, who has been the CM since 2014, so as to consolidate the non-Jat and OBC votes across the state. It is also an attempt to counter anti-incumbency against Khattar. (Varinder Bhatia writes..)

“It is clear that a failed coalition government was running in the state, which had completely disillusioned the people. Dushyant Chautala: Once BJP’s ‘saviour’, now ‘liability’, where does he go from here?
Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) chief Dushyant Chautala and his nine legislators had formed a post-poll alliance with the BJP and emerged as its “saviours” in 2019 after the Haryana Assembly polls threw up a fractured mandate. BJP sources said the decision was taken finally to sever ties with the JJP as the chorus of workers who felt Dushyant was getting “too demanding” was growing. Saini's choice as CM underlines BJP's thrust on consolidation of OBC votes in Haryana and beyond
The BJP's decision to have a second OBC leader - Nayab Singh Saini - join its rank of 12 chief ministers marks its determined push to consolidate the community's votes and blunt the opposition's attempt to weaken its support base ahead of Lok Sabha elections.
Three months after the BJP made the surprise pick of Mohan Yadav to replace another Other Backward Classes (OBC) leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan as Madhya Pradesh chief minister, the party on Tuesday chose Saini, a first-term MP and its Haryana president, to take over from Manohar Lal Khattar.
Saini's elevation as Haryana chief minister fits in with a pattern that has gathered pace in the BJP after the Congress and its allies like the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh and the RJD in Bihar began making an aggressive bid to woo the largest group of communities and politically most significant, especially in Hindi-speaking states, by pushing for a caste census.
