Good response for Davis Cup tie as tickets sold in huge number

For those who had been eagerly waiting to watch the highly anticipated Davis Cup Asia Oceania 2nd round play off between India and New Zealand,it was time to go to the near-by State Bank of Patialal branch and purchase their tickets to watch home lad Sanam Singh and others in action.

The maximum tickets were sold in the denomination of Rs 100,meant for students. A total of 800 tickets were sold of Rs 100,then 500 tickets of Rs 200,40 tickets of Rs 500 and 50 tickets of Rs 1000,have been sold to date. The CLTA Stadium has the capacity to accomodate 4500 spectators. For those who want to view matches on all three days,season tickets for students are available at Rs 200 and for general categories at Rs 500,Rs 1000 and Rs 2000 respectively. Sahil,Hardik bowl Satluj to easy victory

Sahil Vashisht (4 for 8) and Hardik Choudhary (3 for 6) starred with the ball as they shared seven wickets between them to steer Satluj Public School,Sector 4,Panchkula,to an easy ten wicket victory over Gurukul Global School,Manimajra,in the first match of the Under-13 Champions League cricket tournament being held at the St Joseph’s School Ground in Sector 44,on Wednesday. Earlier,batting first,Gurukul were bundled out for 36 runs in 15.2 overs. Sahil and Hardik bowled extremely well to restrict the opposition team. Chasing the target,Satluj achieved the target in just 2.5 overs without losing any wickets. In another match,Delhi Public School,Sector 40,beat St Joseph’s School,Sector 44,by 57 runs. DPS-40 batted first and posted 119 for 6 in 20 overs. Ayush Sikka top scored with 58 runs. In reply,St Joseph’s-44 were all out for 62 runs.
