GNDU to mark 41st Foundation Day

Guru Nanak Dev University will celebrate its 41st foundation day on Wednesday.

Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) will celebrate its 41st foundation day on Wednesday. The daylong function will begin with a bhog and akhand path at 8.15 am at the university gurdwara,followed by shabad kirtan and ardas. Registrar Dr Inderjit Singh said Prof C L Khetarpal,Director,Centre for Biomedical Magnetic Resonance,Lucknow,Dr Surjit Patar,renowned Punjabi poet,and Dr Satinder Singh Noor,vice-chairman,Bharitya Sahib Academy,New Delhi,would participate and deliver lectures at the Guru Nanak Bhawan Auditorium. He said exhibitions on folklore,rare books,manuscripts and paintings would be the highlight of the day. Singh said a hockey match would also be organised at the university stadium,adding that campus buildings would be illuminated on the nights of November 23 and 24.
