In a recent Instagram reel that has taken the internet by storm, actor-musician Diljit Dosanjh is seen sharing the dance floor with Hollywood legend Will Smith. The duo energetically groove, in a Bhangra performance, to the “Punjabi dhol” beats of “Gaddi Wich Bass Chalda.”

Taking to Instagram, Dosanjh captioned the video: “PANJABI Aa Gaye Oye • With the One & Only LIVING LEGEND @willsmith. It’s inspiring to watch King Will Smith doing BHANGRA and enjoying the PANJABI Dhol beat.”

This unexpected collaboration has sparked speculation among fans about a potential musical partnership between the two stars.

Now, Dosanjh is no stranger to international collaborations. His musical career boasts several notable partnerships with Western artists:

• Sia: In 2023, Dosanjh teamed up with Australian singer-songwriter Sia for the track ‘Hass Hass‘. The song stood out as Sia delivered verses in flawless Punjabi, symbolising a harmonious blend of cultures.

• Ed Sheeran: During Ed Sheeran’s tour in Mumbai, Dosanjh made a surprise appearance, and together they performed Dosanjh’s hit ‘Lover’. The collaboration was met with widespread acclaim, as Sheeran made an effort to sing in Punjabi, delighting fans worldwide.

• NLE Choppa: In 2024, Dosanjh collaborated with American rapper NLE Choppa on the hip-hop track ‘Muhammad Ali.’ This fusion of Punjabi rhythms and Choppa’s dynamic rap verses resulted in an urban pop anthem celebrating resilience and empowerment.

• Saweetie: Dosanjh joined forces with American rapper Saweetie for the song ‘Khutti’. The track seamlessly combined Saweetie’s rap prowess with Dosanjh’s signature Punjabi style, creating a chart-topping hit.
