A day after the Mohali courts witnessed a brutal attack on a witness in a murder case,the police have yet to make any arrests. The police recovered a motorcycle but could not arrest anyone.
The Mohali Police had issued a statement on Wednesday stating that two people Harpreet Singh Happy and Charnjit Singh residents of Bakarpur village had been identified by the victim and a case was registered against the duo and some unidentified men.
Tarlochan Singh,Station House Officer,Mattour Police station,said: We have recovered the Alto car used in attack from a vacant plot in Lakhnour village. The assailants must have changed their vehicle from here. We are looking for the accused and have dispatched parties to nab them.
On Thursday,armed supporters of an accused in a murder case,had attacked prime witness Harish Kumar alias Billa in front of the court complex.
