Dadu Majra Colony firing case: Two accused held, juvenile apprehended

The Chandigarh Police has cracked the firing case in Dadu Majra Colony by arresting two accused and apprehending one juvenile.

The operation was led by Inspector Jasbir Singh, SHO of Maloya police station, and Inspector Satwinder, incharge of CIA, wherein the accused, identified as Ajay alias Konda (19) and Aryan, alias Bona, (20), both residents of Dadu Majra Colony, along with a 16-year-old juvenile, were apprehended for their involvement in the firing incident that left a 21-year-old youth injured.
The police have also recovered a country-made pistol and three live cartridges used in the crime.

As per the police, on October 19, around 9.08 pm, a wireless message was received regarding a firing incident near Dadu Majra Colony, Chandigarh. On receiving the information, the local police team reached the spot. By the time the police arrived, the injured had been taken to hospital in a private vehicle. Shortly afterward, a message was received from PGI, Chandigarh, that Vikas, alias Batti, 21, resident of Dadumajra Colony, had been admitted with a gunshot injury on his left hip.
In his statement to the police, the injured alleged that while returning home after a haircut, he was shot by Ajay, alias Konda, with whom he had a previous enmity. Based on this statement, the present case was registered.

During the investigation, the police team traced and arrested both accused on October 21, 2025, and recovered a country-made pistol and three live cartridges from their possession.
The police said that Ajay, alias Konda, 19, has a criminal record with several previous cases registered against him under various sections of the IPC and Arms Act.

Aryan, alias Bona, 20, is also previously involved in an FIR registered at Sector 11 police station, Chandigarh.
