Couple dies in roof collapse at Mauli Jagran

A couple died when the roof of their house collapsed in village Mauli in the early hours of Sunday. The deceased,Balhar Singh (45) and wife Kulwinder Kaur (40),were sleeping when the incident occurred.

A couple died when the roof of their house collapsed in village Mauli in the early hours of Sunday. The deceased,Balhar Singh (45) and wife Kulwinder Kaur (40),were sleeping when the incident occurred. Police said it was a kuccha house with the roof made of mud. The neighbours pulled the victims out of teh debris and rushed them to PGI where doctors declared them dead on arrival. The couples three sons Krishan (20),Praveen (18) and Lakha (16) survived as they were sleeping in the other room. The bodies were handed over to the family by the police after initial proceedings were complete.
