In view of a recent statement by Haryana Vigilance Bureau Director General SC Sinha on the institutionalisation of corruption at higher levels,Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) has sought the resignation of Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

Congratulating Sinha for his courage in accepting the ground reality,MP Ajay Singh Chautala said that after such a serious accusation by its Vigilance chief,Hooda had no moral grounds to continue in office.

Chautala also slammed the Haryana Police for their brutality, and the alleged beating of elderly women and a pregnant woman at Alawalpur village on Wednesday. He said the police have become absolutely cruel and inhuman.

Chautala said Sinha’s statement has exposed the corruption in Hooda’s government. He added that the ‘institutionalisation of corruption’ is a serious issue, which cannot be brushed aside. He said the government should permit Sinha and the Vigilance department to conduct a free and impartial inquiry into the issue.

Chautala said that HUDA,Excise Taxation,PWD and Town and Country Planning are the departments where Sinha has accepted that there is wide spread corruption.

He alleged that these departments are responsible for executing the Congress leaders’ orders on contracts and changes in masterplans to favour their political bosses.
