The Chandigarh Senior Citizens Association organised a socio-medical camp Sunday morning at Government Middle School,Sector 52.
This was the fourth camp in a series of such camps that were held to commemorate the memory of Late PH Vaishnav,former president of the Association.
Specialists provided excellent medical cover,did eye check-ups and carried out dental care check-up of many. Also,homoeopathic treatment was rendered and awareness about cancer was imparted at the camp.
Directorate of Social Welfare provided socio cover in respect of pensions,Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana,loans,Child Help Line Services and financial help to nearly 100 individuals. The camp was a success.
Chief Guest Madhu Bansal went around the camp,and interacted with a number of patients and service providers,as well as with the organisers.
Maj Gen MS Kandal thanked the service providers,members of organizing teams and the school staff for their support and expressed gratitude to the Area Councillor,Sheela Devi and her team.
