BJP leader and former Union minister Birender Singh’s rally in Jind will now be held on October 2 instead of the previous plan of holding the event on March 23. The rally is seen as a show of strength of the senior politician ahead of campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Udayvir Singh Punia, a close associate of the former minister, said Friday that Birender Singh is trying to offer solutions to the problems currently being faced by the society especially in the field of agriculture, health and employment.

Punia said that they have formed a three-member panel comprising Vijai Kaushik, Rajender Bakhli and Dalbir Phaugat that will contact experts of different fields to prepare a report before the event.
