Twenty-Five filmmakers from five continents,11 countries and 16 cities have come together to tell the story of one backpack. The result is a film titled,The Owner,a collab-feature that will have its world premiere on May 25.
The filmmakers have pooled in resources to make a feature film,which comprises 25 four-minute segments or short films that are interconnected. The Owner,essentially,is the story of a lost backpack,trying to get back to its owner. In the process,it travels across the world.
There are four Indian filmmakers in the group Neha Raheja Thakker,Varun Mathur,Vishesh Mankal and Asmit Pathare. The film has been shot on low-cost but high-quality HD cameras. The segments range from funny to dramatic and showcase different cultures,languages and styles of filmmaking.
