Police have registered a case against two managers and bouncers of Jaguar Club, located on Ambala Road, following a late-night brawl on October 12.

The accused have been identified as Parveen Kumar, the club manager, and Rinkle, along with several unidentified bouncers. They have been booked under BNS sections 115(2), 126(2), 351(2), 191(3), and 190. The FIR was lodged based on a complaint by Ranjit Singh, 38, a resident of Nabha Sahib.

According to the FIR, Ranjit Singh, along with his friends Gunwant Singh, Yugesh Saini, and Gurpreet Singh, visited Jaguar Club around 1:30 am on the intervening night of October 11 and 12.

“Before going to the club, I spoke to manager Parveen Kumar on the phone, who said that a bottle of Jameson whiskey would cost ₹5,500. But around 3:30 am, when we asked for the bill, they charged Rs 9,600 per bottle,” Ranjit Singh stated in his complaint.

He alleged that the club staff charged an additional Rs 15,000 for “throwing fake dollar notes for show-off” and for other items. “When I objected, manager Parveen Kumar, Rinkle, and four–five bouncers attacked us. They forcibly took ₹27,000 from me and beat me with kicks and fists. Parveen Kumar struck me on the head with his metal kada, causing bleeding,” the complainant added.

Ranjit Singh claimed that as they tried to leave, the club owner and other armed men threatened them outside. He was later admitted to a Dhakoli hospital, from where he was discharged the next day.

S-I Jaswant Singh said, “After receiving the medical intimation (rukka) from Sector 32 hospital, I reached the spot and recorded the victim’s statement. Investigation revealed that the club manager, Rinkle, and some bouncers had assaulted the customers and extorted money from them. A case has been registered.”
