2 cases of cheating registered

Two cases of cheating were registered in the city on Saturday by the UT Police.

Two cases of cheating were registered in the city on Saturday by the UT Police.

In the first case,Akasa Nangia,Director,SISL Infotech,Sector 20,alleged that Sapna Gautam of Acme Data Solution,Okhla,New Delhi cheated him of Rs 40 lakh in a business deal. A case under Sctions 406,420 of the IPC has been registered in Police Station 19 and the police have started investigations into the case.

In another case,Gurmukh Singh,a resident of Kurali alleged that Gurwinder Singh,a resident of Fatehgarh Sahib cheated him of Rs 1 lakh cash on some false assurance. A case under Section 420 of the IPC has been registered in Police Station,Sector 36 and an inquiry has been ordered into the matter.
