To counter the Madhya Pradesh Government’s much talked about Ladli Bahana Yojana, former CM Kamal Nath has launched the Nari Samman Yojana from Chhindwara on Tuesday.

Staring off by a recitation of the Sundar Kand, Kamal Nath proceeded to launch his scheme to provide a monthly aid of Rs 1,500 for women and LPG cylinders at a subsidized price to each household if the party comes to power in the state.

He chose Chhindwara to make his announcement considering that he had “given his life” to this district. He was flanked by Mountaineer Megha Parmar, who had joined the Congress party in his presence.

Taking aim at MP Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s scheme, Nath said the Ladli Behana scheme was an attempt to wash away his sins since he did not think about women for the past 18 years and only thought about them when the elections were close.

“Shivraj ji has brought the Ladli Behna yojana scheme. After 18 years, he is remembering Ladli and Behan, why ? He brought this to wash away his sins. He sinned for 18 years. You brought this scheme to wash away sins of price rise,” Nath said.

Attacking the CM over issues of price rise, corruption and unemployment, Nath said,”Shivraj ji has become a machine for making announcements. He is lying, he has become a lying machine. He has become a Shilanyas Mantri, a Bhoomi poojan mantri.”

He told the women in the gathering that the women and daughters of Madhya Pradesh understood social values and had a responsibility to think about what kind of a “Madhya Pradesh had to be handed over to the future generations.”

Nath has stated that his scheme was said that due to high inflation women were the most affected by it and his party has decided to “give Rs 1,500 per month under Nari Samman Yojana to them for their self-reliance and LPG cylinder at Rs 500 when our government is formed in the state.”
