55 sites, 23 houses and more: Karnataka Lokayukta raids on 10 govt officers result in seizure of Rs 35.31-crore disproportionate assets

The raids were conducted based on complaints reported at the Lokayukta’s district offices.
The largest haul allegedly came from Shekar Sannappa Kattimani, Executive Engineer at District Urban Development Cell (DUDC) in Haveri, whose assets were valued at Rs 5.36 crore. Searches at six locations linked to him revealed 14 land sites, three houses, cash, and jewellery worth Rs 25.40 lakh, and vehicles worth Rs 15 lakh.

Close behind, according to the Lokayukta, was Puttaswamy C, Chief Accounts Officer at Mandya Municipality, with assets totalling Rs 4.37 crore, including eight land sites, two houses, 12 acres of agricultural land, and other properties worth Rs 72.28 lakh.
