Zadaphia slams CM for using Sardar Patel’s name

Finding fault with Chief Minister Narendra Modi for using Sardar Patel’s name,Gujarat Parivartan Party (GPP) general secretary Gordhan Zadaphia Wednesday said Sardar Patel and Modi were ideologically poles apart and invoking the Iron Man’s name for electoral benefits was opportunistic.

Finding fault with Chief Minister Narendra Modi for using Sardar Patel’s name,Gujarat Parivartan Party (GPP) general secretary Gordhan Zadaphia Wednesday said Sardar Patel and Modi were ideologically poles apart and invoking the Iron Man’s name for electoral benefits was opportunistic. “Modi’s invoking the name of Sardar was a political stunt,” Zadaphia said. While Sardar Patel launched Bardoli Satyagrah to protect farmer rights against the British,Modi was selling out “gauchar” (grazing land) and private lands of farmers to corporates at low rates,he further said. There was “no relationship between life and thoughts” of Sardar Patel and Modi,he said. While there was only Rs 345 in Sardar Patel’s account when he died,Modi was fond of stylish clothes and accessories,he said.

12 Pak fishermen apprehended

Jamnagar: The Indian Coast Guard Wednesday apprehended 12 Pakistani fishermen and impounded their boat 38 nautical miles off the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) near Jakhau coast,Gujarat. This being a non-fishing season due to the monsoon,the boat aroused suspicion,ICG sources said.
