The Faculty of Technology and Engineering of the Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) of Baroda, in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad, and Industries and Mines Department, Government of Gujarat, organised a Women Entrepreneurship Awareness (WEA) event on Wednesday to provide a platform to women with facilities such as skill development, training, mentoring, marketing, funding, and incubation.
The event, held at the Chemical Auditorium of the faculty, saw Vice-Chancellor Bhalchandra Mahadeo Bhanage as well as Prof. (Dr.) Dhanesh Patel, Dean of the Faculty, addressing the gathering. Bhanage said, “At MSU, we take pride in our legacy of promoting excellence in education, research, and innovation. Through this initiative, we aim to provide women with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to venture into entrepreneurship and overcome the challenges of the modern business ecosystem.”
Patel said that more than 120 participants, ranging from Class 10 and 12 passouts to diploma holders, undergraduates, graduates, and postgraduates benefited from the programme.
