Storm leaves SRP unit without roof in Jhalod

The squall on Saturday night blew away 37 tents belonging to the State Reserve Police (SRP) Group XIV in Pavdi Village of Jhalod taluka. Three SRP personnel were hurt in the incident.

Around 8 pm on Saturday,Dahod experienced strong winds followed by rainfall; but the men at the SRP camp were caught unawares. Group Commandant N N Chaudhary said three men: Hitesh Parmar (cook),Ganpat Singh and Umeshsinh Babhor were hurt and are undergoing treatment.

Sources in Jhalod said the camp suffered the most as it is located on elevated ground.
