Sixth edition of Ahmedabad lit fest held

The sixth edition of the Ahmedabad International Literature Festival (AILF) was held in the city on Sunday.

This time, the literature event focused on the roots of societal reforms through a session on the “model village”. A session on young women who overcame hurdles, and paved a path for themselves to set inspiring examples, was also conducted.

Filmmaker Abhishek Jain, author Dr Sharad Thaker and radio jockey Dipali along with festival director Umashanker Yadav launched a book by Anil Chavda and discussed its various aspects.Veteran journalist and author Devendra Patel also shared his experiences with the audience during a session.

The event was streamed online as well. Manoj Aggarwal, additional chief secretary of the social justice and empowerment department, and former additional chief secretary SK Nanda also attended the festival.
