RAJASTHAN CHIEF Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will attend a ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Meet’ in Surat on October 8 to connect with the Rajasthani diaspora in the district. A delegation from the Rajasthan government will meet entrepreneurs and businesspeople of Rajasthani origin in Surat to encourage them to invest and start businesses in their hometowns in Rajasthan, thereby contributing to the state’s socio-economic development and realising the dream of ‘Viksit Rajasthan’ by 2047.
Along with CM Sharma, the delegation will include Jogaram Patel, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Law and Legal Affairs, Akhil Arora, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Health and Engineering Department, Alok Gupta, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce, and other senior officials of the state government. Alok Rathi, president of the Surat chapter of Rajasthan Foundation, will also attend the meet.
Sources said that this outreach is a part of the state government’s efforts to connect with the people of Rajasthani origin living in different parts of the country and the world, as well as to encourage them to become part of Rajasthan’s growth journey. The outreach is also aimed at encouraging greater participation in the upcoming ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Divas’, which is slated to be held in Jaipur on 10th December 2025.
