As part of the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, held biennially in the state, the state government will host the ‘Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show 2024’ between January 9 and January 13 at Helipad Ground in Gandhinagar.
The mega trade show, featuring exhibitions and stalls spanning an area of two lakh square meters, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday at 3 pm. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, along with Indian and International dignitaries as well as industrialists, will be present at this inaugural event.
The global trade show will be open for business visitors between January 10 and January 11 and to public between January 12 and January 13. “The Global Trade Show will feature the participation from 20 countries, including Australia, Tanzania, Morocco, Mozambique, South Korea, Thailand, Estonia, Bangladesh, Singapore, UAE (United Arab Emirates), UK, Germany, Norway, Finland, Netherlands, Russia, Rwanda, Japan, Indonesia, and Vietnam. These countries will present information about their industries at the exhibition,” stated a release issued by the state government on Sunday.
The event will host over 1,000 exhibitors from the research sector, highlighting ongoing research and innovations across various fields. A total of 100 countries will participate in this as visiting countries, while 33 countries will join as partners.
In addition to this, the trade show will feature 13 halls dedicated to 13 different themes, including ‘Make in Gujarat’ and ‘AatmaNirbhar Bharat’. Approximately 450 MSME units are actively participating to contribute to the realisation of the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘AatmaNirbhar Bharat’. The special focus will be on women empowerment, MSME development, new technology, green and smart infrastructure, sustainable energy, and more in this exhibition. The main pavilion will focus on key areas for economic advancement, including new technology, green and smart infrastructure, and sustainable energy.
There will also be a ‘Gujarat Experience Zone’ that will highlight the extensive cultural impact of Gujarat globally, featuring the state’s diverse and rich cultural heritage. “This exhibition provides the first glimpse into the dynamic tapestry of Gujarat’s rich artistic legacy, ancient culture, spiritual heritage, and multifaceted tourism experiences, seamlessly blending modern architecture and art, positioned on the global platform,” the release stated.
Harnessing modern technology to fulfill energy-efficient and future transportation requirements is essential. The E-mobility pavilion will unveil the future of transportation, providing information on advanced electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and sustainable mobility.
Leveraging the platform, reverse buyer-seller meets and vendor development programmes have also been organised to increase opportunities for exhibitors.
To be held between January 11 and 12, the ‘Reverse Buyer Seller Meets (RBSM): Export Promotion-Oriented Initiative’ is expected to attract foreign buyers from over 100 countries across a range of categories who will be looking for suppliers in various sectors.
