Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin his two-day visit of Gujarat from Monday during which he is scheduled to inaugurate or lay foundation stone of developmental works worth Rs 5,477 crore in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Mehsana districts.
After arriving in Ahmedabad, Modi is scheduled to lead a roadshow and then reach Khodaldham Ground in Nikol area in the city. Here, PM Modi will address a public rally during which he will also inaugurate or lay foundation stones of developmental projects. PM Modi will be joined by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel among others.
Giving details about the upgradation of Sardar Patel Ring Road, an official release stated, “The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) will upgrade the four-lane main road into a six-lane road under the hybrid annuity mode in two phases, with controlled access as per expressway standards to ensure speed and safety. Alongside the six-lane main road, a 32-km four-lane service road and a 30-km three-lane service road will also be constructed. This project, with a total cost of Rs 1,624 crore, will modernise traffic capacity and infrastructure around Ahmedabad city.”
On the second day of his visit, the PM is scheduled to visit Maruti Suzuki’s facility in Hansalpur. He will be the chief guest at a company event, marking the start of production of battery electric vehicles and their export to 100 countries besides Li-ion (lithium-ion) Battery Cell and Electrode.
The event is going to be attended by Ambassador of Japan to India, Keiichi Ono, among others.
