Gujarat’s State Monitoring Cell (SMC) on Thursday said it seized 108.66 grams worth of methamphetamine from Mehsana.
On the basis of confidential information, a raid was conducted by a team led by PI GR Rabari on the intervening night of November 19 and 20, at a premises near the railway station in Mehsana town.
According to a statement from the SMC, the team found Ashok Bhakhararam Bishnoi, Jagdish Hariram Bishnoi, and Suresh Viraram Bishnoi, all residents of Jalore, Rajasthan, in alleged possession of 108.66 grams of methamphetamine worth Rs 10.86 lakh.
They also allegedly seized four mobile phones worth Rs 30,000 and Rs 1,530 in cash.
The three accused, along with one wanted accused Suresh Mohanlal Bishnoi of Sanchor, Rajasthan, said to be the supplier of methamphetamine (also known as meth), were all booked under sections 8(c), 22(c), 29 of the Narcotics, Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDOS) Act.
Further investigation is underway.
