IIM-A PG programme sees 100% placements, Apple among first-time recruiters

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) has successfully concluded its Summer Placement process for the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) Class of 2027, achieving 100 per cent placements.

Among the prominent first-time recruiters were Hero MotoCorp and SKF India, Eternal (Zomato Group), Ultimate Kronos Group and Apple.

The third and final cluster of the summer placement process was held on Monday, with more than 90 roles offered across various cohorts.

The Cluster 3 process featured firms across fourteen cohorts, including Consumer Technology, Niche Consulting, Gaming and Sports, Consumer Electronics, Enterprise Technology, Banking and Insurance, Analytics and IT Consulting, Core Manufacturing and Infrastructure, Education Technology, Renewable Energy and Green Technology, Social Enterprises and NGO, Government Enterprises, Logistics, Real Estate, and Food and Dairy.

In the Enterprise Technology cohort, Adobe, Apple, Microsoft, Media.net, Salesforce, and Sprinklr were among the leading recruiters. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) led in the Niche Consulting cohort with the highest number of hires.

The Consumer Technology cohort saw participation from Eternal (Zomato Group) and Ola, while Samsung Electronics recruited under the Consumer Electronics category.

The Infrastructure and Core Manufacturing cohort also saw a significant boost in participation with firms such as Hero MotoCorp, Suzuki Japan, and Tata Steel among the key recruiters.

With the completion of Cluster 3, IIM Ahmedabad maintained its consistent record of full placement. The placement process was conducted in hybrid mode, with companies participating both online and offline.

While Mahindra and Mahindra led the recruiters in the conglomerates cohort with the most hires followed by TATA Administrative Services and Aditya Birla Group at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad’s the second cluster, the top five recruiters in the first cluster were – Accenture Strategy (India Market Unit and Global Network), Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey and Company, Bain and Company and Kearney.

The first cluster of the Summer Placement witnessed recruiters offering more than 80 roles in the process and the second cluster more than 60 roles with international opportunities for students too by Fast Retailing Co. Ltd.
