Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel lays foundation stone for 66 developmental projects

The developmental projects include a model fire station, smart library, iconic entrance gate, gardens, roads, storm water, to name a few.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Sunday laid the foundation stones for 66 developmental projects worth Rs 176 crore in the newly formed Gandhidham Municipal Corporation in Kutch district. This was CM Patel’s first visit to Gandhidham after it was given the status of municipal corporation by merging 11 villages with the Gandhidham municipality area.

The developmental projects include a model fire station, smart library, iconic entrance gate, gardens, roads, storm water, to name a few. A government release said the road between Gopalpuri Gate and Sarvoday Cricket Ground will be developed as Gaurav Path.

Quoting CM Patel, an official release said that earlier Gandhidham municipality’s annual budget was Rs 110 crore. But after getting the status of municipal corporation, its annual budget has increased six times to Rs 608 crore.

On the occasion, local leaders like Kutch MP Vinod Chavda, MLAs Malti Mahshwari and Virendrasinh Jadeja were in attendance.
