An online glitch saw the iPad used by Congress MLA Imran Khedwala not functioning at the Gujarat Assembly when he rose to ask a question on Wednesday. Speaker Shankar Chaudhary immediately instructed concerned officials to correct the issue. He also instructed secretariat officials to provide a hard copy of the starred questions to Khedawala so that the proceedings could go on. The online glitch was corrected within a few minutes, following which the proceedings of the House moved on smoothly.
Late Congress veteran Ahmed Patel’s daughter Mumtaaz Patel has started a hashtag, ‘Bharuch ki Beti’, on social media to counter attack by AAP’s Sandeep Pathak, who had on Tuesday claimed that Mumtaaz is “disconnected” from the voters of Bharuch Lok Sabha constituency “as she lives in New Delhi”. Mumtaaz, who is aspiring for a ticket, took to social media to share her birth certificate and voter ID details to counter Pathak. “I am the daughter of Bharuch and also a voter here. Regarding your talk of scientific database, the Congress polled in more votes than AAP in the Assembly constituencies of Bharuch district in 2022 and in 2017, Congress (with its ally) had four MLAs,” she posted.
